Welcome to the Fushimi Cabins Website Today -

Visit our Facebook pageDriving 41 kms northwest of Hearst will take you to Fushimi Provincial Park where 5,294 hectares of unspoiled and pristine forest awaits you. 1,230 hectares of the park is Lake Fushimi itself, abundant with walleye and pike and an ideal region to spot wildlife such as moose, bear and bald eagles to name a few.

Launching from the park, a 10 minute boat ride across the lake will take you to our rustic log cabin built in the 1950's, even before the park existed, making it the only cabin on the lake, therefore, making it a unique opportunity for those seeking peace and solitude to reconnect with nature in a comfortable and enchanting oasis away from the hustle and bustle. It is truly a perfect example of being a « diamond in the rough »!

The cabin has been renovated to meet today's modern needs such as gas powered generator providing hydro, solar-powered hot-water-ondemand system and catalytic wood stove, however, it was very important for us to carefully preserve its original state of beauty and primitive nature.

Half of the property facade's shoreline is a rock cap making it possible to fish right from the shore, and the other half is 366' of sandy beach for kids to safely swim and play in the sand.

After spending the day fishing, coming back to camp to cook the catch of the day can be very rewarding. Or stop over at one of the many designated picnic areas around the lake for a shore lunch.

If you prefer a fitness adventure, a 3.5 kms hiking trail through the woods and along the shoreline will take you to an abandoned fire tower built in the 1930's for forest fire detection.

Or maybe you just want to relax. Staying at the cabin, sitting on the deck, reading a good book while listening to the call of the loons on the lake will be just as gratifying.

Come enjoy this slice of paradise in the great Northern Wilderness.
